The ‘Ladies Art Group’

The Ladies Art Group, LAG, was formed in 2003 by artists Anna Best, Rona Lee and Nina Pope, as a forum for established artists to conduct peer dialogue around their practice; they have met regularly ever since.

The practice of a number of members of the group involves different forms of collaboration and participation.

This session chaired by Rona Lee (Professor of Fine Art Northumbria University) will involve a conversation between her and Nina Pope along with other past and current members of the group (currently Anna Best, Suky Best, Kathrin Böhm, Amy Feneck, Lucy Kimbell & Anna Lucas) around questions of authorship in participatory practice and the impact of commissioning upon the wider direction of an artist’s work.
