An evening of contemporary dance
Choreographed by Jose Campos
Thursday 14 July, 7 pm
The characters framing the happenings in space are just as important as the event itself… sometimes the frame is even more crucial. Look closer for details and suggestions of time passing, finding freedom within limitations, and the body as an absurd constant with no beginning or end.
Jose Campos is a choreographer who aspires to generate work that is visually captivating and influenced by process and task. Jose’s work is poetic and straightforward by emphasizing the mundane as extraordinary. Currently he is exploring the use of physical limitation in order to encourage the dancers to engage with problem solving and to develop visual variations of movement. He is interested in how people sub-consciously adapt to accommodate physical limitations. Jose Campos is founder of London based dance collective DO NOT DANCE UK.
