In celebration of THE SPARK IS YOU exhibition at Parasol unit, ‘Intimations of Immortality: An Evening of Persian Poetry’ will include a look at the pre-Islamic and Zoroastrian genesis of motifs that inform Persian poetic expressions, conversations on poetic inspiration, and a selection of contemporary and classical poetry, recited in Persian, and in English translation.
Speakers include Dr Sarah Stewart, Bruce Wannell, and Narguess Farzad.
The evening is hosted by the Centre for Iranian Studies at SOAS, the British Institute of Persian Studies, and the SOAS Shapoorji Pallonji Institute of Zoroastrian Studies.
