The Poem That is Our Self

Inspired by Lisa Milroy’s paintings of dresses, shoes, and interiors, we will think of language as the clothing of the body that allows us to enter the world and our mother tongue as creating our intimate selves.

Sharon Morris is a Professor at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London. As a visual artist, poet and theorist, she is fascinated in the relation between words and images.
