Vahni Capildeo (1973, Trinidad) arrived in the UK in 1991. After completing a DPhil in Old Norse at Oxford University, she held a Research Fellowship at Girton College, Cambridge. Her first volume of poetry, No Traveller Returns (Salt) appeared in 2003 and tells the story of the early part of this transitionary period in her life, through a series of poems and prose poems divided into sections based on time, voice or place. Her work appears in numerous literary journals.
