Drawing from Memory

Influenced by the work of Heidi Bucher, this three-hour workshop will encourage participants to create sculptures from their own individual responses to the artworks in the gallery. Building from this, the attendees will draw from memory and observation. Paying particular attention to positive and negative shapes to form the image, participants will experiment with a variety of drawing techniques/artistic materials.

Gabrielle Lockwood Estrin is an educator and artist, whose practice spans painting, printmaking and drawing. She teaches at The Royal Drawing School and has recently completed a Fellowship at City & Guilds of London Art School.
