PRAXIS is an innovative live poetry series that seeks to bring experimental, digital, sound and visual poetry to the Parasol unit foundation for contemporary art, inviting artists to perform original works and to collaborate in response to exhibitions at Parasol. This new series of workshops and events are being curated by Simon Pomery and Lala Thorpe in association with the Royal Holloway Poetics Research Centre.
Guest Poets and Artists
Maja Jantar is a multilingual and polysonic voice artist.
Sharon Gal - Artist, vocal experimentalist, musician, composer, and founding member of Resonance 104.4 FM.
Steven J Fowler is a poet, artist, curator & vanguardist.
Will Montgomery has a long-standing involvement in contemporary experimental music and field recording.
Robert Hampson’s collections of poetry include: Degrees of Addiction, A Necessary Displacement, A City at War, Seaport, and C for Security.
Gareth Damian Martin is a writer and artist whose work combines experimental narrative structures with procedural writing and interactive design.
Simon Pomery is a poet and musician researching a PhD in innovative poetry and thought process at Royal Holloway.
